Covet Beauty was born out of a season of my life that changed me completely.
Before starting this business, I earned my undergraduate degree in business management and design, then went back to school for my master’s in real estate development. Like many women, I was working hard to build a future for myself and my family, taking different jobs and always trying to move toward something better.
But life does not always unfold the way we expect.
During one chapter of that journey, I went through a difficult pregnancy that deeply affected my health and forced me to slow down in ways I never imagined. After that, I became a mother, faced more challenges, and had to focus on healing, both physically and emotionally.
When I eventually tried to return to work, something no longer felt the same. I did not just feel out of place in a traditional office setting — I felt disconnected from myself.
That season took a real toll on my confidence.
There was a time when I no longer felt like the version of myself I used to know. I did not feel polished. I did not feel pretty. I did not feel good enough. And after everything I had been through, I realized I was tired of wishing I could become a different version of myself someday. I wanted to create her. I wanted to build a life that reflected the woman I knew I still was.
For me, that vision included becoming a business owner.
It also included redefining what beauty meant in everyday life.
I realized that some of the things that always made me feel a little more like myself were actually very simple: lashes and lip gloss. Not a full face of makeup. Not hours spent trying to get ready. Just those small finishing touches that made me feel more put together, more confident, and more ready to step out into the world.
That mattered to me, especially as a woman in my mid-30s, and even more as a mother. I know how easy it is for women with children, careers, responsibilities, and busy lives to put themselves last.
I also know how exhausting it can feel to think beauty has to be complicated in order to be worth it. I used to wake up extra early just to do enough makeup to feel presentable for work, and I hated that feeling. But lashes and gloss always gave me something different — a simpler way to feel like myself without all the extra effort.
That is a big part of what led me to create Covet.
I have always loved lashes, but I also know they do not work the same for everyone. Salon lashes can be beautiful, but they are expensive and not always realistic for everyday women.
Strip lashes never quite worked for me the way I wanted them to. Because of my eye shape, they did not always look natural or feel easy to wear. Cluster lashes, though, changed everything for me. They felt like the perfect middle ground: more affordable, more flexible, and more natural-looking.
That is why Covet Beauty began with cluster lashes and lip gloss.
I wanted to create beauty products that help women feel polished without feeling overwhelmed. Products that fit real life. Products that help you feel a little more confident, even on the busiest days. Products that remind you that beauty does not disappear just because life gets hard, your body changes, or your priorities shift.
Covet is about more than looking good.
It is about remembering that your beauty is still yours.
It is about desiring your own reflection again instead of comparing yourself to a version of womanhood that does not exist. It is about reclaiming confidence in small but meaningful ways. And sometimes, it really does start with a little lip gloss and a few lashes.
I created Covet Beauty for women who are busy, growing, rebuilding, evolving, and still deserving of Softness, confidence, and beauty through it all.
Because we did not lose our beauty. Sometimes we just need help seeing it again.
A reminder I had to learn for myself:
I am delicate. I am desired. I am dangerous.
